Living in North Perth

A bit about…

One of Perth’s oldest established suburbs, with homes dating back to the early 1900’s, North Perth is located 3km North of the City, covers 3.1sq kms and is home to just over 8500 people.

Once considered to be an aging suburb of predominantly Post War European migrants, North Perth and its rapidly developing café and casual restaurant culture, centred mostly on Angove and Fitzgerald Streets, has undergone a literal face lift over the last 10-15 years as young families and professionals have been attracted back into the suburb, renovated and extended the classic character homes to be found there and driven the demand for, and provision of, new and improved local amenities.
