New local eateries on Beaufort Street!

Just when you thought Beaufort Street couldn’t possibly squeeze in any more eateries no less than three have opened in recent months with the highly anticipated Measure, a Dessert & Cocktail Bar, imminently to follow!

Newly opened Chakra on the corner of Beaufort St & Seventh Ave in Inglewood offers a modern take on Indian cuisine, like Pulled Beef Empiler with Kachumber salad, Crunchy chickpea puffs, pea cauliflower sauce and rice (pictured above), combined with a list of old favourites to keep those that love their traditional dishes happy.  A big thumbs up to their kids menu which features Butter Chicken & Rice or Fried Chicken Tenderloins and Chips (for the fussy eaters like my 14yo) as well as Chocolate Naan – word has it the latter is highly popular with adults too!

Zeus Street Greek has opened a branch at 609 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley. The menu features Kebabs, Souvlaki and sides, it’s fully licensed and they do gluten free pita bread. Winner!

Across the road at 628 Beaufort Street, Solo Pasta sells pasta dishes by the metre. That’s right, the metre. Pick your fresh made pasta type and length and then a sauce to go with it. I’m told that for the carb conscious they offer zucchini noodles too. Pics and deets can be found on Urban List.

And I have to give a shout out too to Shunking who opened several months ago at the Bedford end of the strip next to Mille Cafe (as you’ve probably already discovered!). I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but friends and locals have been highly complimentary about both the service and food. They’re open every night for dinner (except Tuesday) and for Dim Sum from 9:00am to 2:30pm from Friday to Sunday. I will get there!

Have a new cafe, restaurant, or small bar opening? We’d love to let the local community know. Drop us an email with your details and we’ll try to make sure you get a mention on our Facebook page and newsletter.
